iSupport Onsite Assistant is the iSupport toolkit on a thumb drive / memory stick. Onsite technicians carry it in a pocket and plug it into the computer being serviced to gain immediate access to the iSupport control panel and all of the iSupport features. From there, it's a simple matter to launch the appropriate iSupport macros to diagnose and repair the system automatically. As a result, technicians can get their customers up and running quickly and efficiently without having to perform the individual steps themselves or even remain in front of the computer being serviced.
iSupport Onsite Assistant literally serves as your personal assistant when you go to a customer site! It's included as an integral part of the iSupport product. You simply copy iSupport Agent and iSupport Client install files to a thumb drive. Before you go onsite, you click on the Memory Stick button within your primary iSupport application to transfer iSupport macros and all other working files to the thumb drive. At this point, you have the complete iSupport toolkit on a thumb drive that functions just like the primary iSupport application on your work PC. It's like packing your PC tools in preparation for your onsite visit!
When you arrive at the customer site, simply plug the thumb drive into the computer being serviced. Then install iSupport Agent and iSupport Client to the thumb drive (not the target PC) and launch iSupport in local mode. From there, it's just like using iSupport in any other session.
iSupport macros play an especially important role when you're onsite. They allow you to automatically diagnose and repair some machines so you can spend your free time interacting with the customer or working on other machines. iSupport macros also ensure that you perform all of the correct steps and repair procedures even in a customer environment that is busy, stressful and chaotic.
