First-Time Installation

1. Simply click on the link in the box above to download SmartAccess Client software. A dialog box will open: Do you want to run or save this file? The options are: Run, Save, Cancel. Choose Run. The file will begin downloading.

2. After downloading completes, a dialog box will open: Do you want to run this software? The options are Run, Don't Run. Choose Run.

3. The Install program will open. Follow the installation instructions and click through the Next, Install and Finish buttons to complete the installation. Choose to launch SmartAccess Client as the final step in the installation process.

4. If you've already installed using this procedure, you do not need to install again. Simply select the SmartAccess icon (PC with red cable) in the System Tray and click on Manual Update.

5. If you have never run SmartAccess before, you will need to set the Account supplied by Roaring Pine. Click on the SmartAccess icon in the System Tray and select Set Account and Pass Key. Enter the Account supplied and a Password of your choice. Please remember the Password since you will need it to access this PC using iSupport Agent.

6. Check the Always Active item in the SmartAccess menu to ensure that SmartAccess will start up after a reboot.

7. For most cases, we recommend that you check the Auto Update item in the SmartAccess menu. This will ensure that SmartAccess Client will update itself automatically without human intervention.

Other Information

1. If you ever need to manually start SmartAccess Client, simply double click on the desktop icon for SmartAccess. Alternatively, you can click on Start and select Programs / SmartAccess / SmartAccess.

2. In the SmartAccess menu, Exit SmartAccess is used if you want to disable the program.
